Today the little men & I visited my friend Erica, & her girls 'H' & 'R' who live in a converted barn near Rye. The views from their sitting room & garden are fantastic.

And this is the view towards the sea, you can just see it in the distance ::
The barn is surrounded by fields of sheep that roam freely over the track leading from the main road to the barn, so you have to drive ultra slow.

We had both packed up picnics & the weather was glorious so off we went to the beach just past Camber Sands.

The tide was going out & within 2 hours the beach turned from pebbles to wonderful sand. Once the sea was at a certain point the waves calmed down & you could wade out for about 100 yards before it started to get deep so it was safe for the little people to paddle & have fun in the water.
After 4 hours of seaside fun we packed up & went back to Erica's for a nice cup of tea & juice before heading home.
