A Trip To The Park & The Dentist ......

On Tuesday I developed a niggly pain in one of my wisdom teeth. As time went by the pain got worse & by the evening I didn't know where to put myself. I was up ALL night pacing the floor & eating Ibuprofen, which didn't help. As soon as 9am came I rang the Dentist who very kindly fitted me in that afternoon.

Mum & I had promised to take the boys to Dunorlan Park for a picnic & to feed the ducks & I couldn't let them down, so off we went.
.

I must say that I found it hard going as I was exhausted & in awful pain. It was such a shame as it was a glorious day for fun in the park.

Picnicing in the sun ::

After a couple of hours of fun in the park it was off to the dentist for me. Unfortuately once my dentist started drilling he informed me that it would be best to take the tooth out!!!! My blood ran cold .... Oh no!!! But I was very brave & went through with it. At least it was a wisdom tooth & wont show. The pain has now all but gone & it seems to be healing well. Thank goodness !! I am nearly back to full working order though still rather tired.

Granny Update & A Mega Messy House ......

Once again the summer hols have distracted me from my hooking. There just isn't the time with 2 little men around demanding my attention 24/7 !!! Saying that I have managed to do 4 more squares.

Today I was determined to have a chill out day & let the little men do what ever they wanted (within reason). They have turned the house upside down & made camps in their room, the bathroom , sitting room & conservatory. I have closed my eyes to the mess, which has been very hard, & sat down & started to join the first half of my granny blanket together.

I blocked each square first then played with them to see how they would look best together.

It's surprising how long it takes to block & crochet each square together, but I really enjoyed doing it as I love seeing projects coming together.

Now I must get the little men bathed & into bed, that is if I can get to the bath & in their bedroom !!!!! Then guess what I'll be doing ....... yes some more hooking, the mess can wait until tomorrow morning.

My Furry Babies ......

As yet I haven't properly introduced my other babies ....

This is Saba & he is the baby of the family, he was 1 last week. He is a real love bug & welcomes everyone who visits us. His favorite past time at the moment is chasing, catching & eating flies, yuck !!
.

This is Bilbo Baggins, known as Bill & he is 7 . He is rather shy & tends to hide from the little men, I think it's the noise he doesn't like. He sleeps next to me every night & his purring is the last thing I hear. He suffers from fits, which is horrible to see but luckly they are very rare now. He is a very special boy.

Here is Pasha the matriarch, she is now 8 years old. Her & Bill are half brother & sister. Claim to fame, her auntie is the cat who is Mrs Norris in the Harry Potter films. She likes her peace & quiet, but puts up with love & cuddles from the little men, she isn't quite as patient with the other cats though. She likes to sleep on the little men's beds at night once they are asleep.

Lastly this is Cusso, named after a Black American Gang Member that I saw being interviewed on telly. I liked his name not his life style !!! My Cusso is a real boy, he can be naughty with me but loves the little men & the other cats. When it is food time he runs up & headbutts the others to push them out the way so he gets in first !

My Best Friends Wedding ......

Yesterday my oldest & bestest friend Sam married her partner Chris after 12 years of living in sin !!!

Sam & I have been friends since school mmmm.... 28 years, we were both 12 years old, a life time ago. We lost contact about 10 years ago when she moved to Wiltshire, though we where both trying to get in contact with each other through Sam's brother who didn't pass on our messages or phone no's, typical !!!!! Anyway we got back in contact through FRIENDS REUNITED 3 months ago & meet up again at our school reunion in June.

Sam & Chris' little angels were bridesmaids ::

Sam's sister Debbie & Chris' son did a reading & both cried which started everyone off !! ::

Sam has always been a stunner & she radiated beauty on her big day ::

Mr & Mrs Horgan ::

The Horgan Family ::

Mr & Mrs Horgan, Sam's thinking ' no turning back now' lol.

Sam wanted Chris to wear the outfit that he was wearing when they first met, Chris had just been fishing or shooting at the time, he looks like a real country squire don't you think !!

As we came out of the Registry office we shook hands with the bride, groom & in-laws as is the custom, when I shook hands with Chris he said 'you must be Tania' ( I have only met him once before 10 years ago ) & with that he pulled out the ring box & inside Sam had put a photo of her & me taken when we where 19. I was sooo touched I found it very hard to hold back the tears.

The beautiful bride ::

The reception was held at The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells ::

All the little people were given crochet & Jelly Cat toys, what a lovely idea !!

The ladies were given little enamel pill boxes ::

The groom's speech was a mixture of laughter & tears ::

Lots of bubbly ::

Kate, another old school friend & little man no.2 ::

Kate & Charlie ( Sam's brother )

Chris' son & nephew keeping the little people entertained while the big people enjoyed chatting & the bubbly !!!

As the wedding was very early in the day everyone was invited back to Sam's mum's farm house for more drinks & a buffet.

I love this place, I could definitely live here !! It is a proper working farm that Sam's mum runs almost single-handily

Sam's mum & sister had made a Fairy & butterfly grotto for the little people ::

Cutting the cake ::

The little men really enjoyed themselves & made some new friends.

I think this was the best wedding I have been to, very relaxed, lots of laughter & tears & as Kate said ,the day was about the people getting married & that's what it should be all about
